concerning Novel things

Novelty

Often when I do something I claim to do it for the novelty.  Sometimes this raises brows because some don’t understand what novelty is and then sometimes, people still don’t understand why I would venture to do something in the name of novelty.  

As defined by google:

Novelty is the quality of being different, new, and unusual.

However I will admit to do something novel in the name of nostalgia…  A mistake, I know, but who is really keeping count?

Still I leave untouched the answer to the question I have presented.  Why do I do things for their novelty.  Well suck it up people!  What’s the point of going day in and day out doing the same ordinary things?!?  Getting drunk every night and having pointless sex encounters; who wants to do that?  Bah!  That could get old really fast.  

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t do crazy stuff, and if I do, I don’t do it all the time.  Yes, sometimes I’ll dangle my legs off a pier, or I’ll climb on something, but generally my acts in the name of novelty are rather low key.  Sometimes I’ll run along a ledge rather then run on the ground.  Othertimes I’ll beg the question that no one is willing to beg.  I’ll wear shirts that support my beliefs, and sometimes I believe things that no one else would.  I like to play games and tell horrible jokes.  

We only live life once, and I am not a man of repetition.  I like doing new things, and I like doing new things often.

But I also like leisure and sitting in cafes.  That doesn’t get old: ever.
